This is my last weekend of summer! I officially start school on Monday. I can't wait to meet my new group of kindergartners. I have been so busy this past week getting my room ready. Students will still need to be wearing masks but as of now, they will not have to social distance. Last year, I had to set up my room with desks instead of tables. The desks were placed 6 feet apart. I am thankful to get all my furniture back in my room and place things the way I want to. It will feel a bit more normal, but we still have a ways to go before things get back to the way they used to be. I am praying that we all stay healthy and have a successful school year.

Scavenger Hunt for Open House-Back to School

Enjoy this Scavenger Hunt to help assist the kiddos to their new workspace. I love doing this activity for Open House. The kids love to show off our classroom to their families. For classrooms that do not have cubbies but have lockers instead, I've added another page.

Scavenger Hunt for the Beginning of the Year

Students will enjoy this scavenger hunt for the beginning of the year and or end of the school year as they go around to find classmates that can fit into the descriptions provided. Students can write their classmates' names or have their classmates sign their own names in the boxes provided. You will love the simplicity of this activity. It is great for non-readers as well since there are picture symbols provided for each box.

Back to School Interactive Notebook

Students will have fun putting together this Back to School interactive notebook as they introduce themselves and get to know classroom routines and expectations. This is a fabulous way to get your students to practice their skills and show off what they have learned. It has very simple cut-outs that make it super easy for young students who are just getting used to using scissors. Students will cut on the dotted lines and fold on the solid lines and paste into a standard-sized 8.5" X 11" Notebook. Students will draw under flaps to answer responses and not have to worry about cutting out small pieces that just get lost.
