Tips on How SAVVY Teacher Shop,Teacher FREEBIES, Discounts, Cash Back & More

Teacher Discounts and Freebies

I don't know about you but I find that it's easy for a teacher to go broke with shopping for Back to School supplies.  Thank goodness some retailers know that!  It is common for many retailers to offer discounts as a token for all their commitment and hard work. Teachers can be savvy consumers and are always on the lookout for the best deals.

TARGET

Target is always one of my favorite places to shop. I especially love the dollar deals at the front of the store. Get an EXTRA 15% off on school supplies till September 10th. You do have to be part of Target Circle (which is not a credit card and is completely free to join) and you must verify that you are a teacher.
Go to Account - Settings- Teacher Verification.
I was recently at Target and found 12 packs of Crayola Markers for .99, 12 packs of Crayola Color Pencils for .99 cents. and composition books for .50 cents. Add in that discount and I'm a happy camper.

BARNES AND NOBLE

The Barnes & Noble Educator Program offers Pre-K through Grade 12 educators, librarians, and homeschoolers a 20% discount off the publisher's list price on select items that we consider suitable for use in the classroom or with the student population, including most hardcover and paperback books, toys, and games.
This is a bit more tedious to get as you have to go into a physical Barnes and Noble store and show your id and proof of employment. However, considering it lasts for 24 months it's well worth looking into.

STAPLES

Download the Staples Connect and sign in. Every time you shop, you'll earn 5% back on purchases. You can designate yourself as the teacher you like to donate to in the app and that go towards your own classroom supplies. During their Back to School Supplies, you can stock up on school supplies with prices that rival Walmart and Target.

MICHAEL'S

When you enroll in the Teacher Discount program, you’ll save 15% on all your purchases. I purchase many craft supplies throughout the year. I also downloaded the app to get additional savings while I am shopping at the store. They always seem to have some great coupons that can be scanned from your phone.

ID ME Account

Be sure to create an ID.Me account. It is easy to join. You will need to upload your school id badge as verification along with your state-issued certification.  Here you will have access to a boatload of discounts at department stores, grocery stores, travel, restaurants, home/ office supplies, and more. Through ID ME, I have been able to score on many items. You can find savings at MACY'S, JC Penny, Nike, Oakley, Old Navy, and tons of other stores. Here are a few of my favorites. These special discounts are usually better than other online line cash-back rates such as RAKUTEN.

Here are a few discounts you can score by going through ID.Me for your discounts:

APPLE

Take advantage of big savings from Apple with their education pricing on certain devices. I just purchased my new laptop and saved quite a bit of money.

ZENNI OPTICAL

You can find some fashionable eyewear at amazing prices. I love the fact that you can easily upload your prescription and try on your glasses virtually. Once you set up your account your prescriptions will be saved so making new orders is super easy. They usually send you your glasses in a timely fashion.

YETI

Yeti

Grab your Yeti and keep your drinks hot or cold all day long. You can get a 20% discount. Yeti is proud to offer special pricing for all those that go the extra mile. Special pricing is offered to all first responders, veterans, nurses, and government officials. You can even have your Yeti personalized. I love my YETI as I sip my coffee whenever I have a spare moment, which isn't too often while working with my kinders. My YETI is my favorite cup. I take it everywhere I go. I highly recommend getting it personalized so you never lose it.
